A Major Milestone: First Floor Concrete Pouring Achieved
June was a landmark month for the Great Bounty Apartments project, as we achieved the highly anticipated concrete pouring of the first floor. This significant milestone marks the beginning of the building's vertical rise and brings us one step closer to delivering exceptional residences in Victoria Island.
Key Achievements in June
First Floor Concrete Pouring
The highlight of June was the successful concrete pouring of the first floor slab. This crucial phase involved the placement of high-strength concrete, carefully poured and leveled to ensure the structural integrity of the building. The completion of this phase is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our construction team.
Structural Framework
In parallel with the concrete works, the structural framework for the first floor was fully completed. This included:
Installation of steel reinforcement (rebar)
Erection of formwork and shoring systems
Placement of embedded elements for future utilities
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Works
A significant achievement in June was the substantial progress on MEP works. This included:
Installation of underground utility conduits
Placement of electrical conduits within the structural elements
Installation of plumbing rough-ins for the ground and first floors
Coordination of MEP risers and vertical service routes
Quality Assurance
Rigorous quality control measures were implemented throughout the pouring process, including concrete strength testing and structural inspections to ensure compliance with the highest standards.
What to Expect in the Coming Months
With the first floor concrete now in place, the team is preparing for the next phase of construction. July will see the focus shift to the second floor, with formwork and reinforcement works already underway.
